It’s been a little while.
Apparently coming up with long-ass emails everyday wasn’t sustainable with everything else I’ve got going on.
But there’s no right or wrong way to do any of this though, so let’s try some shorter ones.
Here’s something that my clients have gotten a lot of juice out of lately.
There’s no right or wrong – there’s just what you want, what tends to happen when you do it one way or another, and whether or not you’re willing to face that that’s the current situation.
If you want to change quickly?
Consistently face how things are going and the role you’re playing in it, without needing to beat yourself up. Just learn to accept it, and smoothly choose something else.
If you want to stay stuck?
Consistently turn away from the results you’ve been getting, and blame other things for how it’s been going.
If you want to feel good while you do it?
Consistently give yourself love, regardless of the results.
If you want to feel like shit?
Consistently beat yourself up for everything you do, or at the very least, tell yourself you ‘could’ have done better. And, certainly don’t celebrate all the little wins along the way.
If you want to feel connected to others?
Consistently share what’s true for you, even if that means some uncomfortable conversations.
If you want to feel disconnected and push people away?
Consistently withhold how you feel and what you’re thinking, and certainly avoid any conversations that feel uncomfortable.
No right or wrong, just what you want, what tends to happen, and whether or not you’re willing to face that.
That’s all I got for you today. It feels good to be back to writing.
