I was wrong

Time passes, things happen.

I know, groundbreaking observation right there.

But sometimes that flow stops for us, and we get hung up on something.

Time keeps passing, things keep happening, but all of a sudden the mind seems to get hooked. We’re arguing with something.

That shouldn’t have happened.

That’s wrong.

How could they do that?

I screwed up.

I can’t believe this.

Instead of just – that happened – while continuing to enjoy everything going on around you.

Now you’ve got a bigger problem. A narrative forms, and you’ve got a little thing in your head that wants its way out.

It takes real energy to keep that story up. That whole time, you’re resisting what’s actually happening around you, and you start living in your own little world. That’s a real energy drain.

You’ll feel a little stuck, heavier, like something is bothering you,

If you want to let that go?

You’ll have to face that you were wrong about something. That something isn’t as you thought it should be.

You’ll have to face what that something is actually like right now (even if you don’t like it).

And you’ll have to feel all the emotions around that something.

Some people have no interest in that. We all know that friend that seems to avoid saying the words “I was wrong” at all costs.

For everyone else? Your experience can change real quick with the right tools and environment. For most, the biggest thing slowing you down is that it’s hard to see where you’re doing it from your own perspective. They’re called blind spots for a reason.

If you’re in that latter camp, I’ve got something you might be interested in.

In June I’m going to be starting up a weekly group dedicated to growing as fast as possible. That will involve calling each other out on our bullshit every time we notice, facing where we’re truly at right now, and having a lot of fun the whole time we do it.

It doesn’t have to be serious. It doesn’t have to feel hard. But you do have to be willing to look at the dumb stuff you do, and laugh at yourself while saying “Yea I did that, and I apparently I was wrong”.

First session is going to be June 4th, 12pm EST. There are already a couple guys in the boat, and it’s going to be capped at 8 people.

If you’re interested, book a call below and lets talk more.
